Help needed
We have enlisted the help of Matt (whom some of you will know as he helps out in the gardens of various people in the village) to do some of the heavy maintenance in the Remembrance Garden, strimming the nettles and brambles, cutting the paths and maintaining the other planted areas.
He will be down in the garden on Saturday, 21st. So that Matt can get on with doing the things that we can't do, it would be helpful if we could get a working party there to help clear the ground as he strims. If anyone has an hour or so they can spare on that afternoon to lend a hand, please come down to the garden. I will be there with one or two others anyway. People have grumbled to me about the state of the garden but the church does not have a large pot of money to spend on it. So we have to do a certain amount ourselves. Most of the members of the congregation are now getting elderly so we do need help from the rest of the village if it is to be maintained for use by the village. Any help you can give would be welcome.
