We regret that Sunday's concert had to be cancelled due to Manus Noble getting Covid. The responsible thing for him was to stay in Ireland, and not travel anywhere.
Best wishes, Lynette Dear all, just a reminder about the two concerts coming in the church. Tickets are completely free, but donations will be welcome, and will go towards the upkeep of the church as well as the piano. You can make donations and book at:
https://www.whitehorseconcerts.co.uk/stonevaleconcerts or reserve your seat by emailing me (lynette.stulting@abingdon.org.uk). STONEVALE CONCERTS Friday 8th March at 7 pm, Abingdon School's talented musicians will reach out to our community and give a concert in the church. Instruments including bassoon, clarinet, piano, cello, violin, trumpet and piano trio. Please come and support these youngsters, as they are hugely talented and you will really enjoy the playing and their lovely personalities. And on Sunday, the 10th of March at 4 pm, Manus Noble (worldclass guitarist) will return and give us a concert, on not only the guitar, but a few more related instruments. Manus of course needs no introduction as he has been several times, and his concerts and personality on stage are breathtaking. This concert is part of a tour of the country that Manus will be undertaking, and we are very lucky to form part of this highly acclaimed tour. Dear all,
As you know, Stonevale Concerts start to host concerts in St Giles Church, as we now have a lovely new piano in that space. I am trying to advertise broader, as it would be wonderful to not only make some money for the performers, but also for the church. I decided to start selling tickets on Ticketsource, for people from outside the village. However, I would like to continue to keep the same wonderful audience who supported me for so many years, by still offering the option of donations, at the venue. If you want to buy tickets, great, if you want to give donations at the venue, also wonderful, and if you just want to come and support the performers, without giving anything, that is also fine too. Please have a look at our website, we are part of three venues who are now working together. The Christmas Concert is a benefit concert for the church, so we are selling the tickets, either here or through Pam (240233) and Pauline (243140). For more information about all of our concerts please visit: https://www.whitehorseconcerts.co.uk/ Best wishes, Lynette Dear all,

We hope you can join us next Sunday for our next Stonevale Concert. It is always wonderful to have singers, and Jacobine and Ilya are quite local. Details here. Looking forward to seeing you, Lynette For those who asked me if they could have a recording. Here is a shorter version.
Stonevale Concert with Sebastian Mueller and Lynette Stulting .MOV Dear friends,
Sebastian Muller and I are happy to announce that we will once again be part of the Great Barn Festival in Great Coxwell. As some of you know, we played in the barn for the past two years, and it was an amazing setting. However, we were quite limited in our choice of repertoire, because the space is very big and the acoustics are quite dry so we could not really indulge in the Romantic repertoire. We decided to change our venue this year to St Giles' Church, and it will still be part of the Great Barn Festival. Now we can at last play the Franck Sonata for Violin and Piano, the ideal piece for this acoustics. Some of you might know this work, one of the most beautiful sonatas written for violin and piano. The second half of the programme will included some selected works by Kreisler. Tickets are now on sale and for any enquiries, please email Ainslie Williams at boxoffice@greatbarnfestival.com Full details here. Hope to see you there, Lynette Dear all,
Apologies, I should have sent this out already last week, but time has flown too quickly. Many of you know already about the concert, as the details were in the last programme. This will be another fabulous concert looking at the wonderful biographies of these two performers. Best wishes, Lynette Click here for details. |
