St. Giles Church Sunday May 28th

Dear Friends,

The project to develop a wild-flower garden of remembrance in our churchyard extension has now matured to the point that I will be dedicating the garden at a service this Sunday May 28th at 6 pm. The service will begin in church with some hymns, prayers and readings, and we will then go into the churchyard for the act of dedication. After the service we will have a wine and nibbles reception in the Reading Room, which will give us the opportunity to thank Dr. Ian Burn for his generosity in funding most of the project.

You are warmly invited.
With best wishes,
David

Great Coxwell Village Fete - Sunday 16th July

27/5/2017

Picture
We have a date and a poster and lots of willing helpers!

We are still in need of some volunteers to run games stalls of their own choosing …… it could be a sand treasure hunt, a bean bag throwing thing, a human fruit machine (your guess is as good as mine to how this works!). If you or your children can think of something fun to do we would love to hear from you.

Also could anyone help us with the parking, as in directing people where to park their cars?

Please email the newsletter.

And SAVE THE DATE for an afternoon of FUN!

Pam Smith once again organised the Café Coxwell in the Reading Room and sends her huge thanks to all her helpers and all those who donated foods and baking.

Thank you too for Jane and Sylvia who ran the plant stall.

The Café and the plants have made a record amount of money for St Giles church, the Reading Room, the Park and the Village Community Fund.

Also we would like to thank Pam Shanks for organising the Children’s art table up at the Great Barn. It was really appreciated by all the children who had a go.

THANK YOU ALL!

A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM PAM
Thank you to all of you who contributed by helping in the café , gave food or gave donations for food. We had our best ever Takings all of which is spent on funding projects with in our very special village.
Pam
