National Trust Work Plans

14/11/2024

Attached here is an note about upcoming environmental projects in Great Coxwell from the National Trust, it includes plans for the Great Barn Pond and for the paddocks to the south of Puddleduck on either side of the barns.

You'll notice a "P" marked on the plans, this is for National Trust staff to park and is not public car parking.

There are contact details in the document and there is a planting session on December 14th from 9 til 1.

Great Barn - Roof Update

9/7/2024

The National Trust has confirmed that the works to address missing tiles on the Barn roof will commence on Monday 8th July 2024.

The works will take place around the whole of the roof until all missing tiles have been replaced.  There will be some scaffolding going up, which will be moved around the building as works progress.

The National Trust plans to do an annual check and replace tiles each summer going forward and invited any queries to the Facilities Manager, Coleshill Estate.

Great Barn Festival

13/8/2023

Great Barn Festival 22-24th September will once again fill the village with music, theatre, art and fun for all the family.

Our Saturday Audience with Mark Chadwick is all but sold out so don’t delay. Stonevale Concerts will once again be part of the attraction, this year in the slightly less draughty St Giles’ Church but ticket holders are welcome to spend the day in the grounds at the barn before taking their seats in the church for what promises to be another beautiful performance.

Boogie Me will be raising the rafters on Sunday evening for a family barn dance with a difference and we will round off with some national circuit comedians from The Cackling Bat Comedy Club – there was never a more apt venue.

Join us to kick things off on Friday Evening with Robin Hood, a musical romp through one of our favourite tales full of big laughs for all ages from the director and producer of The Show That Goes Wrong. It is a wonderful night out and the bar will be open.

Tickets are online or avoid the booking fees and drop me a note at Danes Cottage 07774459046, [email protected] and I will extend a villagers discount to some of the performances and grounds passes without a fee.
