Morning. It’s a difficult spring to be a farmer! Just to let you know that we’ve had to adjust plans to try and work around how wet everything is . So in Siberia, where the sheep recently grazed, we’re going to plant a multi-species crop, and, weather permitting, under sow that with clover, before planting trees in the autumn. As discussed previously with Annabelle from greener Coxwell, we’ve requested funding support for north-south rows of fruit and nut trees every 36m. Will keep you updated. Jane is taking orders now for tomatoes, courgettes, climbing french beans, and bedding plants.
Please contact her on 01367 241367 to place your order. Tomatoes: Gardeners Delight, Alicante, Ailsa Craig, Sungold, Minibel, Italian Marmande (beefsteak) French Beans: Dwarf and Climbing Courgettes: Round Courgettes: Green, yellow and dark French Marigolds: Mixed Cosmos: Semi double mix and Sensation (tall) Nicotiana: Tobacco plant: Lime Green and Mix Eryngium: perennial Sea Holly Thistle Isle of Wight Challenge in Memory of Emma Watters in Aid of the Tessa Jowell Brain Tumour Foundation17/4/2023
Many of you will remember my dear wife Emma who passed away in March 2021.
Our daughter Fiona has persuaded Emma's family and friends to take on various parts of the Isle of Wight Challenge over the weekend of 28/29th April. Fiona has the biggest challenge, running the full 106km circuit of the Isle of Wight over two days. The rest of us are doing either 25km or 50km running or walking. Our goal is to raise £5000 for the Tessa Jowell foundation which aims to level up brain tumour treatments across UK hospitals . Emma followed Tessa's journey with her brain tumour closely and so we have been inspired to do what we can to help the foundation. For everyone in the village who knew and loved Emma we would be extremely grateful if you would consider donating to this worthwhile cause in her memory and help us reach our target. Fi Watters is fundraising for The Tessa Jowell Foundation - Prism the Gift Fund (justgiving.com) Thank you in anticipation Malcolm Watters Warenne house Dear all,
We are very excited to have Manus Noble back at Stonevale. He has been here twice over the years and am grateful that he was happy to come back, as he has a very busy concert schedule.
