This year is the centenary year of the WI. To celebrate there was a WI garden party at Buckingham Palace and we were represented by Daphne Denee . She said the tea and cakes were excellent and she also managed to meet our speaker from May, a Yeoman of the Guard.
Our WI are celebrating with a garden party on 4th August and we would like any previous members to come along as well. There will be cake. If you are no longer a member but would like to come to the garden party, please 'telephone Pam or Mary for details.
Our next meeting is on 14th July when Anne Fisher will tell us about the history of scarves and how to tie them. Please bring along one square and one long scarf.
