Tuesday 6th October – Faringdon Corn Exchange – 10.00 until 12.00. An Open Morning to discover what U3A has to offer to Faringdon and District residents. Thursday 8th October - “My Years with the Churchills”. Venue is the Faringdon Corn Exchange at 2.30pm. This is a fascinating talk by Heather White-Smith who worked at No 10 Downing Street during the time of Winston Churchill's premiership. At the age of 17 she was given the job of Private Secretary to Lady Churchill. Entrance as usual is free to U3A members but visitors are required to pay £1.50.
