The amount of next year’s precept was decided at the Parish Council meeting on 15th January 2018 and notified to the Vale District Council by 22nd Jan 2018. The sum was decided based on careful budgeting by the Responsible Finance Officer based on historical data and information provided by Councillors.
The amount will be £9070. (Last year’s precept was set at £7225.) In round terms this will increase the precept from £48 per band D household to around £60 per annum. In absolute terms this is a modest increase and when the financial responsibilities and commitments of the Parish Council over the next year are taken into account represents exceptionally good value. We are a parish that maintains its own parish room and village play park for the benefit of the community; remunerates its parish clerks, and maintains its hedges and verges.
