Great Barn Great Coxwell update:

Newsletter

The National Trust are pleased to open the doors of the Great Barn for a family friendly Festival of Arts on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of May 2018. With Artweeks Open Galleries providing  visual arts in the area and not to be missed Teas and Lunches in the Reading Rooms raising funds for the village throughout the weekend, Great Coxwell will be alive with colour and culture. Many of the events at the Barn will be free to participate in however there will be a full listing of drama, music, dance and storytelling with tickets for sale for select performances on The National Trust Website in March. On Saturday night we will raise the rafters with some fantastic live performances, bar and fresh imaginative street food from 5.30-11pm (ticket holders for 8pm performance). Profits from this event will stay local, maintaining and improving the Great Barn so it can be enjoyed by everyone. If you think you might have a talent to share, would like more information or would like to volunteer to get involved please get in touch at info@boxedupevents.co.uk or call us on 01367 241370.

Badbury Updates:
Saturday 3rd March 2018 10am - 3pm Great British Spring Clean at Badbury
Come and make a difference in helping clean up your local wood. Have you had enough of other people's litter and are willing to do something about it? Become a litter hero for 10 minutes or for a few hours and help us make Badbury a clean and pretty place for all our visitors to enjoy. Our team will be on hand to assist and encourage visitors to get active in the outdoors, and help clear up the rubbish that lies around us.

New Ranger at Badbury
My name is Joe Mayled and I am the new part-time Ranger for Badbury Hill. I’ve worked for the National Trust as a Ranger for the last 8 years over in the Chiltern Hills so I’m really excited about getting to know a new part of the country. Badbury Hill is a fantastic site with lots of potential for both nature conservation and access and I can’t wait to get stuck in. I only work 3 days a week but when I’m in you should find me out on site so please do come and say hello. If you see anything that you think I should know about then please call the Estate Office on 01793 762209 or drop me an email joe.mayled@nationaltrust.org.uk . I look forward to seeing you at Badbury soon.
