Wednesday 5th April - Ethel & Ernest (PG)
(2016 - Animation, Drama, History)
Veteran cartoonist Raymond 'The Snowman' Briggs. An award-winning graphic novel about an ordinary London family living through extraordinary times, brought to life in this lovingly hand-drawn tale. Based on Briggs's own parents, the story follows Ernest (voiced by Jim Broadbent) and Ethel (Brenda Blethyn) as they deal with World War II and the years thereafter with a combination of grit, wit and good, old-fashioned British resolve. The movie equivalent of a nice cup of tea and a bikkie!
