Graham and Isobel hand deliver everything so we know the supplies will reach the people who need them most - which is what makes the collection so attractive to people. The majority of refugees arrive from Syria, mostly after arduous, traumatic, journeys with only the clothes they are wearing. There are now plentiful supplies of clothes plus sanitary protection for the women, but the toiletries are practical and restore some dignity and self-worth. Please drop items off at the Vicarage, Great Coxwell by 20th November.
Two members of the congregation in Ashbury (Graham and Isobel Weller) who currently work in Luxembourg have been volunteering at a local Red Cross welcome for refugees there. They have asked for donations of: toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, shampoo, socks and underwear for children, women and men, plus small umbrellas. All items to be new, but no aerosols. Men's underwear should be in small sizes.
