More details here www.thamesvalley-pcc.gov.uk/vehiclecrime/ You may have heard about plans to reform local government, here's a link to information about one of the proposals from 5 of the local councils, including ours.
www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/vale-of-white-horse-district-council/five-councils-launch-ambitious-plan-for-local-government-reform/ Dear residents of Great Coxwell,
Recently, I have been asked by four individual residents why I have stopped working as a mobile Ear Wax Removal Practitioner, and so I would just like to clarify that I haven't stopped and am very much still running the business, under the name Ear Clear. I'm not sure how this misunderstanding occurred, but please be assured (especially to my regular patients) that my services continue the same as they have done for the last 3 years. Kind regards, Sandy John Ear Clear www.earclear.org 07773 692432 The Remembrance Sunday Service on 9th November will begin at 12 noon at the Village War Memorial. Invitation to WI talk 'The Battle of the Somme' 7.30pm 11 November, Reading Room
You are cordially invited to come along to the next WI meeting for a talk by Tony Ferguson who will speak about the Battle of the Somme from the viewpoint of a fascinating veteran. (See details attached). The meeting is at 7.30pm on 11th November in the Reading Room. The WI thought that, as this is the time of year when we are remembering people who have fought in wars, this would be a topic of general interest. The speaker has given several talks for WI groups (amongst others) on this topic which were well received. There is a limit on the number we can have in the Reading Room so do come early if you want a seat. Hope to see you there! Best wishes Great Coxwell WI I've added the October 2025 report to the website - here - its a good place to catch up on news from our councillor.
This excerpt may be of interest to villagers: Traffic Lights on the A420 at Great Coxwell: Wain Homes that the forecasted occupation of the site, and the completion of these junction works through the s278 process, will not accord with the timelines stipulated in the S106 agreement. Now recognising the delay, Wain Homes has undertaken further modelling of the junction in question. As a result, OCC will agree to relax the no-occupation trigger within the Section 106 agreement through a deed of variation. This variation will permit up to 40 occupations prior to the completion of the junction works, or alternatively, require the works to be completed within 18 months of the signing of the Section 278 agreement—whichever occurs first. It is obviously disappointing that the applicant has not fulfilled their obligation to deliver the junction works in a timely manner. However, considering the recent progress made on their technical audit and the updated junction modelling, OCC is adopting a pragmatic approach and believe that the revised trigger will maintain pressure on the applicant to deliver the works promptly; failure to do so will result in enforcement action. Here are a couple of links to notices from the Vale of the White Horse District Council:

Included is a glass of wine or soft drink, and great company! Best wishes, Lynette |
